Fuel gauge not working
Since i brought my 93WRX 4 years ago the fuel gauge hasn't worked.
It started by always reading quarter of a tank but a couple of years ago went to empty where it has stayed.
What is the fault finding process for this?
I've looked in the boot under a panel at the sender. I believe its the bit next to about 3 small pipes with a white connector in it (4 wires).
I unplugged it to see what happens and the car wouldn't start. Does this mean that it isn't faulty (as the car would never start)?
I also heard that there are 2 senders, one on both sides but my car only seems to have one.
I know this is confusing but any help would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks, Matt
