Head Problem
I recently had my engine rebuilt with wiseco pistons,par rods, gt30 etc and it had its running in map done on the dyno. After 5 miles on the dyno it started make a dodgy noise. This turned out to be the cam digging itself into the head due to no oil getting to it. Just wondering what could of caused this after only 5 miles

When the work on the engine was done, was a new oil pump (pref uprated) used? It sounds like thats were the problem might be... knackered oil pump = no oil getting in?

I reckon you're right on the button Butty !! We stripped an engine with a similar problem and what a number of engine builders don't know, is that there is an oil flow restrictor up inside the oil galleries in the heads.
These get a little ' beach ' of debris piled up against them and you need to pull the end gallery plugs out of the heads and then using an extractor take these restrictors out, flush them through and the oil gallery itself, when you attempt a rebuild on a Subaru engine.
And then refit them - do not leave them out, they are designed to stop excess oil getting into the heads and then the engine running short in the oil pan because all the oil is up in the heads.
We've even seen one where there was a small flake of silicon sealer blocking one hole from the excess amount the builder had used......
I'd expect that to be the problem from your description DaveblueRA and it has quite possibly completely wrecked the head and cams in question. If you take the restrictor out carefully the evidence will be there.
Definitely not an oil pump problem the crank'd be starved of oil long before either of the two heads were.

As posted on 22B I've seen two where the restrictor David mentions was blocked with excess sealer used to firt the dash union. Only kills one bearing BUT scraps the head as the bearings are the base aluminium.
