Hi all!

I have read a whole lot of suggestions and I have been talking to a lot of third party dealers in Sweden about tuning the Impreza, now I would very much like to have suggestions from you guys on how to proceed since I'm a beginner in the tuning-business...

I have a Subaru Impreza GT Turbo-2000 (218Hp) and I would like to end up with power somewhere near 280-290hp!

I'm thinking of an uprated turbo: IHI vf22 in combination with Possumlink or Unichip. My budget might also be able to involve a 3"-exhaust.

some more stupid questions...

Do the mentioned mods realistically take me near 280hp?

If I go for Possumlink, should I go for the Possumlink Plus-system instead of the std Possumlink-system for Impreza v5?

What is really the difference between the two variants of Possumlink?

I had a Scoobysport backbox, Scoobysport downpipe, Magnex centre, a Unifilter RamPod induction kit and a HKS EVC4 (Holding 1.2 bar) and my MY99 UK car produced 280bhp on the rollers!

I know have a Scoobysport downpipe (2.5"), HKS Hiper Muffler (3"), Power Enterprise PE1818 Turbo, APS FMIC, APS dump valve, APS air inductor and a Link ECU producing 1.3bar of boost. It's making over 330bhp on the rollers, but the standard injectors are reaching a duty cycle of 100% at 6,000rpm the only problem is that my redline is at 7,500rpm!

Next batch of modifications will be 550cc injectors, along with an uprated fuel pump and fuel regulator. Hope to push the power closer to 340bhp!

Hope this helps
Andy

Sounds like you have a very nice compilation there !

We tried the Link Plus, but due to mapping issues I settled on a 10-row Link.

Andy, with that hp/cc your pistons will be soon damaged if you don't change to some forged ones!

BR Developments can supply a Link with a Q-chip, enabling it to have 10 rows.

You're probably right about the engine, but I might have some bigger plans there!
