Question running in?

hi all
just rebuilt my bottom end (uk95) new rings, mains, shells, ect. ive racked up 250 miles so far, ive also kept the revs below 4 k, would you lot say its safe to take a 100 mile trip down the m-way? will the engine be ok at a steady 70 mph (3.5k)? or should i wait till i hit the 1000k mark?

sorry if this makes no sense at all. its late

cheers
dave

Should be fine. That initial 250miles has freed the engine and if there appears to be nothing amiss a good long trip should do it good! Vary the speed every now and again, don't stick at one speed for mile after mile. 3.5k should be over 80mph in a UK car?
