Default Jerking

I have a uk my96 and recently under slight acceleration at lowish speeds it jerks abit, almost like if you have it in too high a gear at low speeds or its missing.
Its had new spark plugs and lambda sensor recently and my mechanic is gonna check the coil packs when he is back from his hols but is there anything else it could be?
Thanks in advance for any help

Default hey

Ive been suffering the same sort of problem mate, looks like mine was the Boost solenoid, it was not giving boost correctly so you would get a jerk as too much boost was given at once ? does it sometimes feel flat .. as if your not actually getting boost at all ?

Also is it an Import ? ( JDM ) if so what RON ( or octane ) are you running it on ?

If its a pulsing when you drive at a constant speed then its what my MY2000 used to do. Swapping to 97 RON on standard UK car fixed it fo me.

sounds like coil packs to me, 10 years old now so they will be begining to break down. Should check them when changing the plugs to be honest.
Also a possibility of the boost solenoid, but would go with the coil packs

95% of the time i use 97 ron fuel but couple of months back had to use 95 with octane booster. Ive been back onto 97 ron for at least a tank of fuel now so dunno if it is the fuel.
I was going to give the boost solenoid a clean but it looks way to fiddy to get to some of the pipes and remove, is there some easy way of doing that?
Even though it will never do it under heavy acceleration but as someone stated very rarely it will feel very flat when boosting in first gear.
