when i am driving my 02 plate scooby if i floor it it is as if i am hiting the limiter at 5k but if i accelerate slow it goes to the limiter fine

it was doing this so i had a clip test done and they said it was coil pack 4 miss firing so i had it changed got the car back

the engine man light had gone off but the car still does the same thing

does any 1 have a clue what it could be i dont no if the plugs need changing or the other coil packs

please help asap thanks mike

 

ow and the car still ticks over perfect at about 600-800rpm and starts up first time

 

Could it be the fuel is being cut at 5k rpm, because the boost pressure is getting too high?

 

I would go for the plug leads as it is comon in many cars & not overly expensive to fix (my mates supra was doing exactly the same).
Otherwise, could be a blockage in fuel rail causing lean mix in 1 pot under hard accel, very doubtfull although could turn out expensive.
