Default FSE Power Boost Valve - Yes or No??

Any benefit in fitting one of these. I fitted one to an astra a while back and it did make a difference. But im new to scooby ownership and different rules apply to turbo's.

Any advice much appreciated.

Thanks
Harry

There's not much point unless you have fitted an uprated fuel pump or want to increase your fuel pressure. Either way, if you do decide to fit another pressure regulator DON'T fit an FSE one. Mine fluctuated up and down constantly (I had a gauge on it) and it just wouldn't hold the set pressure - a problem that many others on here have found. Do a search and see for yourself. Mine ended up in the bin and was replaced with an SX one which is more expensive but spot on quality.

FSE manufacture ****e fuel regulators.
As RaymondH says, the fuel regulated fluctuates up and down.

I've tried them on various cars and all fluctuate.

Never tried another brand though.

have you trawled through all the **** adverts on ebay that offer huge gains in power/torque/response?

they're **** and cheap for a reason, search through the scoobynet archive and you will see what tried and tested methods:
a) work
b) cost

Not worth a bean for your car, in fact it would contribute to un-reliability ratther than anything else. Stay clear, fit it and you will regret it !!

Im fully aware of the tacky products available out there, like those afm chips and all that crap, but FSE Pwr boot valves did have some sort of reputation and as said above i fitted one to an astra and it did make a bit of a difference. Just wanted to know what effect they have on a scoob, but obviously it aint a good one so i wont bother!.

Thanks
