Not being funny but ask somewhere else other than here. You will get some good advice off here but also a load of rubbish, and unfortunately because you are a new you wont know who to listen too!
If in doubt, stick with a grade and type your manual recommends, but there may be other grades and manufacturers that suit your driving habits better, giving a bit more protection.

Subaru recommend a 5W30 grade, but make sure the spec. is as in the owners manual. Silkolene ProS 5W40 is a good fully synthetic one - and conforms to the Subaru manual spec. - you can order from Opie Oils. Not seen it in the shops. Semi-synthetic is fine.
