Unhappy VF35 FULL BOOST, 3RD GEAR, 3400 RPMs??

today i was running the car with the new turbo (vf35) and it is too laggy for me.
as i said in the title, i reach full boost in third gear for example at 3400 - 3500 RPMs and that is too much for me. TD04 makes full boost at 3000 RPMs or less . 1rs gear is worst, maybe at 4000 RPMs full boost .

your experience?

Thanks in advance

Has it been mapped?

What is 'full boost' to you? Mine will hit 1.45 bar on a cool day. I went from a TD04 to a VF35, but then I didn't expect the bigger VF35 turbo to be able to spool up so quickly as the smaller TD04 - it's just the laws of physics, which are tricky to get around...

The things I can think of are:
- Sell your VF35, and go back to a TD04.
- Get your headers and up-pipe ported (Harvey on here does them) to help early spool up - most people get the boost building 500 rpm earlier from what I've heard.
- Get Andy Forrest to turn your old TD04 into a hybrid.
- Get it mapped up properly if you haven't done so already.

Sounds right.
I get 1 bar @2126 rpm
1.4 bar @ 3326 rpm

But then that is the characteristic of a VF35 - what did you imagine was going to happen?

But AFTER MAPPING, the throttle response is such that 3-3.5 k rpm response is far far better than the TD04, also resulting in much better fuel consumption.

GET IT MAPPED

Surely you mean 1 bar @ *3*126 rpm? If I could hit 1 bar at just over 2000 revs it would be a monster!

Given the fact that he lives in Peru I don't think Harvey and Andy F are household names to him...
Porting means making the internal diameter bigger to allow more gas flow, in laymans terms
Are Subaru's popular in Peru ?

i supposse it was something like that. porting all the pipes or only the conections between the header and the up pipe???

Well, here in Peru the subarus are known as very very good car. But it is more expensive than a Toyota or Nissan (most common brands in Peru) not only the price but the mantenance cost too.

In rally races or drag races the favorites are the imprezas GTs, WRXs or STIs and also the EVO V, VI, VII, VIII or VIX. In the drag races there are also very fast V8s that still are a head ache for the 4 cyl turbocharged. how can i upload videos or photos??

LOL guilty as charged, although I would slightly disagree on your definition of porting - I'd say it's more about increasing gas flow by smoothing out the insides of the pipework, e.g. corners, bends, joins etc. Not necessarily making the diameters bigger.
