Default downpipe fitting problem...

hi all

i was changing the downpipe on my MY98turbo wagon on the weekend, all was going great until i found a rounded nut on a stud. the one underneath the downpipe, top 2 and the side all came off great but this last bugger i cant budge, seems to be at the end of the stud and then the stud has started coming out.. what can i do to get this off? space is very limited as you will know...

annoying as everything was going so well.

recently i had the clutch changed and i have the feeling that when they was replacing the downpipe they cross threaded this nut/stud.
im tempted to chop it off some how and leave it until i change the turbo, doesnt seem to be blowing at all but im not sure....

ideas please

thanks

Let the stud come completely off with nut if enough room. If cross-threaded then you'll need a new one anyway.

i was hoping that i could pull the stud completely out but the nut is rounded and cant budge it now either way... i have gotten hold a of a set of extractors but i think they might be to bulky to get in.

Cut the head off with some oxy-acetylene then use the stud extractor when the pipe is off, heat the studs first.
