changing steering rack bushes
My steering rack bushes have worn due to the bumpsteer mod so I've got some Whiteline ones to replace. Looks like a fairly simple job but do I need the wheels off the ground?
Thanks in advance

Obviously you have to get under the car but it doesnt matter whether the wheels are in droop or not.
Very easy job all quite obvious. It might help to slacken the pinch bolts on the steering UJs to allow the rack to drop a few more mm.
The whiteline bushes give a nice improvement in response and fit a bit tighter than the oems. They come with grease but I'm not convinced you want to encourage movement in the bush. I didn't grease mine and no squeaks so far.
Are you keeping the bumpsteer shims? The rack is probably better located without them.
