lambda sensor missing???

Default lambda sensor missing???

the below picture is of the down pipe on my 93 import wrx! which iv just gettin bk from the garage! now i lent over to take a look as the said they had to cut my old own pipe of but had another to replace it with! but there dont seem to be a lambda sensor but there is a huge bit of weld covering an old hole! if there was ment to be a lambda sensor there would this all so plug in next to where the boost solinoid is? in to a round plug with a grommit on it? basicly i think they have just welded the hole up where my lambda sensor was!!! cheers for anyhelp!

Hello mate.

Firstly stop worrying, the lambada on your car is in the headers not the downpipe.

It was moved from the headers to the downpipe on the facelift engine, 96 onwards.

You will have a blanking plug on your downpipe, thats what you can see.

Lambda was in the headers on v.early cars. I think 1992-1993 cars.
I know 1994 cars had them in the downpipe, as I've had one.

They probably stuck a newer model downpipe on and instead of using a blanking plug, just welded it up.

Bit of a bodge all round really...
