Went to start car today ( 99 STI 5 Type r) was turning over but wouldnt fire, took 4 attempts to get started. As it started it took a few seconds to clear its throat and a fair bit of smoke came out of exhaust, no warning lights came on.
Havent had any problems since.
Any ideas? Had a new block fitted 1300 miles ago and hadnt had any problems until now.

sounds like it was flooded,On the previous start up was it started for a very short time(moved out the garage or something similar)
