driving home today my 'check engine light came on. i'm pretty sure this is becasue i have a faulty connection on my km/h to mp/h coverter on the car and i had lost my milometer reading. (will be telling the garage to sort it next time i'm there)

This has happend before and within about 5 minutes i get the mph reading back and the light goes off. However today since it has happend my fan has cut in and won't go off unless i completely turn off the ignition. I've left the car for a couple of hours and the fan is still cutting in even thought the engine is cold.

I'm going to take it for a drive in a bit to see if my speedo reading comes back and if the fan stops - in the meantime anyone got any ideas as to the fan shananigans??
