Angry Hesitation

I have a slight hesitation fualt on my 00my impreza turbo it is not modified in any way, the hesitation seems to be when on light throttle cruising at any speed and clears when throttle is pressed harder i have just purchased this car it is my second scooby, I have replaced the air flow sensor and I have had the fault memory cleared by my local dealer (no codes in memory) Since this has been done the car is better to drive but syill not 100%
CAN ANYONE HELP CHEERS

Could be what I've been trying - unsuccessfully - to solve on mine. Starting from closed or very slightly open throttle, if you touch the accelerator, it hesitates for half a second and then suddenly jerks into life. From any other throttle position it doesn't do it at all.

I have the same thing on my My2000 WRX Ra! Slight flat spot at certain revs which goes when throttle is pressed. Not really a problem as my throttle is rarely being lightly pressed! However it is there nonetheless>

I have just taken out for a spin again & the revs seem to drop when drepressing the clutch at a junction to about 250rpm for a second then they return to normal this seems to happen every no & then

If your revs are also fluctuating then it could possibly be the dreaded MAF sensor. My hesitation is not that obtrusive in normal driving just a flat spot which lasts maybe a few hundred revs, it's soon gone.

That sounds like your idle control's out of whack. Try cleaning out your idle air control valve for a start.

a good tech can tell that from looking at the select moniter, shame most dealers just check the memory without looking at the figures.
