Same question actually, for a MY98 WRX wagon...looks like I'm going to have the gearbox out anyway to fix my clutch, so might as well replace it if it's on the way out. What's best for a good driveable organic clutch, straight replacement fit, capable of up to 350 lb/ft torque?

If you press the accelerator, the revs rise, but the car doesn't accelerate, that's a good indication that your clutch is on the way out!

Have a word with David from Api and ask him if you can start another GB on the Exedy organic clutch (great clutch, nice to use and ultra tough) IIRC GB price was £293.75 inc vat. You'll most likely need to budget for a skimmed/replacement flywheel £50-150.

Expect to pay around £200 for fitting.

Exedy's probably the way to go, AP do a good clutch but it's circa £420 all in.
