will a 2C ecu work in a 93wrx that originally had a U8

I have a 93 WRX it had a U8 ecu in it, i changed it for an Apexi Power FC & Commander, then sold my U8.

The Apexi went wrong in January, causing the Revlimit to fail, and for some reason allowed the car to run way too much boost, as i hit 8970 rpm the Engine blew up.

tried the ecu in a neighbours car, and it would not start after initilaisiing the data, (Going back to the STD Map) the car started and run.

but their must be a fault for the Tuned Map to go corrupt.

Flat4online are going to change the ecu, but have been unable to get hold of another Apexi Power Fc, Knowing i was going to Japfest and wanted to take the car for the Stand, they said they would Buy one from Andy.F and that i should send the apexi back to them.
When i sent an email saying i had sent the ECU back Special Delivery, i got a Reply saying he would not be buying the ECU from Andy.F as he wanted too much money for it.
I asked if i would have an ECU before Japfest and the reply was No Sorry.

I have been trying to get another U8 ecu for the weekend and been searching for anyone selling one. breakers are wanting £200 for a U8, i can get a Z4 cheaper. and do not want to pay that much just to use it for Japfest.

I have just been offered a Loan of a 2C ecu for the day. will this work in mine?

2C will be fine. It runs the same maps as a U8, but slightly different code. Although that won't effect it.
