Default apexi ebc , will it benefit my car?

Would getting an apexi avc-r electronic boost controller give us any benefits / power gain ?

We are on the original jap map still and running 1.1 bar of boost at the moment (as it came) it spikes to 1.4 now and again , but usually around 1.2-1.3.

How far could we push it with the apexi avc-r before hitting fuel cut , if we can push it at all?

we have a 1996/1997 p reg jap sti version 3 only other mod done is full decat exhaust , and water spray

You'd be better off getting an ecu re-map. Upping the boost without sorting out the fueling and timing will be fine so long as you budget for an engine re-build when it goes bang.
