Default brake squeal

im getting a little brake squeal when reverse braking only (uk sti) any ideas

low pads?

Could just be touching the metal clip on the pad under reverse load.

Very normal, my sti did that with 500 miles on the clock. Not so much now with 25k.
Have a look at the pads through the wheels, just use a torch and check the thickness (1.5mm minimum) you will see if they are that low.

Same on the other halfs car.. All of the pads are new, the surfaces that meet the caliper have a light coat of copper grease and the discs are in top condition.. squeels like a bitch in reverse.. lol.

Getting same on MY05 WRX 300 with 6000 miles on the clock. No noise when going forward just when reverse braking. Brakes & disks look ok.
