engine mountings????

Default engine mountings????

Are there extra mountings you can add to a classic impreza or an uprated top support as have replaced engine mounts due to keep loosing nuts/blowing down pipe today is done it again a nut has worked loose from back of turbo to down pipe The down pipe is also mounted to the gearbox so should move with engine anyone had this or more solved it

Puzzled by this unless the installation was not done right.
Hope you have lock/spring washers under all the turbo nuts?

As to mountings, you can fit uprated ones from Lateral Performance (Matk) or Risket on here. cost is about £170 for 2 engine and one gearbox.

You really shouldn't have a worry with any of this. Are you sure you have all the turbo mountings in place by the head and the 2nd gearbox mounting in place by the cross member?

You need to progressivly tighten the turbo bolts as the gaskets crush and thing can start tight, finish 'loose'.

Or even Mark and R19KET

If Nuts are coming loose, I doubt it's down to any mounting issue. Try using a different type of nut. Some aren't very good when it comes to getting very hot.
