Default Will an EGT Fault Code Affect Performance

After the obligatory decat on my 03WRX I have a PO546 EGT sensor code.

Had a TEK 3 the other day where the limit on the EGT was increased. Since then the light has come back on.

Personally, Ihave got used to the extra light on the dash but I want to know, is the engine going to hold back on some of the potential power due to this error code being evident.

thanks

Tricky one !!

I've kept my EGT sensor (and I have the CEL at the moment) but I will replace the sensor despite the probs of it breaking up and ******** the turbo (deabolt 18G) !!

EcuTeK Cannot map out this CEL like the P0420 missing cat AFAIK !!

Check out this thread,

About a third of the way down there is a good explanation on how to clear this fault code. Half hour job and problem solved for me!
