connecting Omex shiftlight HELP
Trying to get an Omex Shiftlight Pro to work in my ī02 WRX. All 3 wires (red, blue and black) from the Omex unit are connected but it just wonīt light up.
One problem is that I donīt know which wire to take the tacho signal from. Other posts suggest to connect to the green wire from tacho but the thing is there are several green wires in my car going to the tacho. One is green/yellow and another is green/black. I tried both.
I just called Omex who suggested to install a resistor between the blue and the red wire on the Omex unit. Will this work?
Strange thing is that Iīm sure the unit is powered as the two small LEDīs are lighting up when I change cylinder and rpm settings. Just no light in the shiftlight when the tacho hits the preset setting.
Help please as everything is dismantled and I need my car to work tomorrow.
