No Steering Pipe

Anyone run without the steel power steering pipe that runs in front of the rad across the front panel ?
Mines leaking so ive just fiitted the rubber hose to the tank and not used the steel pipe.
I take its just to work as a cooler.

that is the cooler yes.. some come without.. not got it on mine..
