Blitz Nur Spec R on a WR1
A friend of mine is looking for a new system on his WR1 and was looking at a Blitz Nur Spec R, he has been told that there may be problems and it may lose power if it put on his car!!!
Is this true and can any1 tell me if this exhaust will work fine on the WR1???
Thanks
Lee

If the ECU reads more airflow it will think it has more load and will therefore back the timing off to stop potential det. Result is less power as a number of people have found when changing the exhaust on a WR1.

if he had a blitz bb and front decat then he would need to have it remapped?????
What would be the best full system for the wr1 then?

The WR1 backbox is also a good set-up so not worth changing that.
unless...
If you need more power then you will need to wipe off the prodrive ecu map and buy a licence for a new map and get it re-mapped.
This will cost £500 ish for the licence and re-map, you may get another 10 or 20 hp for this money, add to that any supporting mods and parts.

Send a pm to WR1 Bro, he has the Nur spec R on his WR1 and he is very happy with it. His car recently did 333 bhp at Prosport with just a Nur Spec R and an STI panel filter. Be warned though, its extremely loud
