Fixing competition seats in a classic STi
Guys, I finally going to throw the towel in- at least for a while. Either the STi has become too track focussed, or I'm getting old- and I suspect its the latter. I rarely use the it on the road now (maybe 5 miles a month) so I'm finally going to put my track chairs in it.
The roll cage scares me tbh- the standard seats aren't anywhere near low enough, and regardless of how much FIA padding I have on the cage a front or side-on accident wouldn't be nice; I need to be sat lower.
Anyway, I have a couple of Prodrive WRC seats, in lovely carbon fibre, with side mounts. I would ideally like to mount these so that I can move them fore / aft to accomodate different drivers, but don't want to compromise the anchor points.
Whilst I would normally weld and plate side mounts to the floor I'd be interested to hear from anyone else that has fitted competition seats in a classic- and ideally I want to keep the carpets.

Have done all you ask.
If you want details I can give them, but TEG make then and so do OMP Sparco etc.
If you want to sit lower you must make your own solid mounts. Takes about a morning to do them.
