Hi folks since i had a full decat done on my98 uk scoob it now sounds like a vw beetle.Replaced both exhaust gaskets any ideas.

 

Possibly the lambda probe that screws into the side of the downpipe? Had thisd happen to me after having a new turbo fitted - was driving home uphill on boost when all of a sudden a bit of a 'letting go' sound followed by that noise - car ran fine just sounded pants. Turned back and they found this sensor to be loose and backing out of it's thread, tightened it up - noise gone.

 

The VW Beetle is also a flat 4, I've noticed that it sounds similar to a scoob.
