FMIC squeeling!? Help
Just fitted FMIC, when the car boosts under load, there is a squeeling (spelling?) noise, similar to when you let the air out of a balloon slowly (?).
It is making the same boost and all other parameters I can monitor appear to be the same.
Any idea's please.

it's leaking, probably.
It'll still make the same boost (assuming the leak isn't massive), it'll just work the turbo harder to achieve it. Since the air has been metered then is escaping, you'll be running rich. Noticed any black smoke?
Unless by some chance there's a bit of something (like a musical reed) vibrating to play you a tune inside the cooler? Doubt it though.

No smoke. At least none reported by my brother, behind me on our private test track
I have checked the joints, all appear tight. I will go over them all again tomorrow. Seems to be from the driver side of the car.
Thanks for the reply

If you can get a small water bottle or similar, pierce a hole in the lid and fill up with a washing up liquid and water, pour some round a joint and get someone to rev the engine if that partiucular joint is blowing you should see bubbles. Go through all the joints until you find where it is blowing from. hope this helps steve

There will be little pressure in the system with the car sitting still revving.
I have just installed a FMIC in my Sti v3 and all is silent except for the waste gate noise.
Check the dump valve piping is sound.
It could be a quirk of the system you have maybe.
What boost are you achieving?

Thanks Craham/Ste,
could be the dump valve as my blitz has a small off pipe (?) compared to the larger adaptor on the FMIC pipe work. It does apear to come from the drivers side though, can be deceptive when in the car I know.
Achieving the same boost as before, 1.3 bar.
I will have the fairy out later!
