HI, ive just started fitting my Hybrid front mount but i bought the kit second hand and havnt got any fitting instructions.
Where do the brackets that are supplied get attached to or do i drill new holes?
Whats the easiest way to get the turbo outlet pipe through the wing- the cars a my99 so i gather i dont need to cut the wing?

If anyone can send me fitting instructions in PDF id be really really grateful.

The only thing that isnt clear on any of the installation instructions is where to mount the lower brackets....ive already fixed it at the top as per pdf instructions but the only place underneath where the supplied brackets line up to is the bottom of the aircon rad, which are not bolts.

 

Think your find they fit on the same holes that hold up the under tray need a bit of bending though

 

just starting fitting mine too what a job!!! theres 2 holes with threads in already as said above, i just re-tapped them to fit the supplied bolts that came with my hybrid intercooler, the worst bit i=s cutting the bumper and my splitter bloody hell never again

I thought that fitting the i/c core and pipe work was a doddle now the bumper that was another matter, And I've it twice as i got a 99> front bumper

 

how have ypu lot cut the bumper? ive tried to cut the gap (where you can see the intercooler from the front) as straight as possible but still dosnt look a 100% and ive had to cut my splitter just wanted to know what you lot have done to make it look neat

 

I filed and sanded the cut edges for a better finish...



Still got abit more to do down the side edges... but happy with the bottom edge... alittle more time on it... it'll be sorted...

 

ive just downloaded the pdf instructions they dont say anything about cutting the bumper!!!

 

Ive spent a few hours today on fitting the cooler.....mounting the fmic was the easy bit, but the pipework was a little fiddly and took patience! the turbo outlet was awkwark gettin it to go through the hole in the wing(had to loosen the wing and loosen ABS unit. the other side once i had done the required cutting was fairly easy, but the bonnet seems to foul the pipe as it wont go any lower due to a aircon pipe near the battery is not allowing it to drop any lower How have you guys overcome this prob??

 

anyone had trouble with the charge inlet pipe fowling the bonnet?

 

Although I have no AC (removed it) the pipe that passes (just) the battery misses the bonnet by a good margin on mine.

In all a messy time consuming task all round.

A pain in the f@ck*ng *** of a job!! ive fitted these on other cars but never had the trouble i did with this kit

 

I cut my Sti V3 bumper with a jig saw on SLOW speed with masking tape as a guide, worked surprisingly well!
I found the Hybrid kit ok.
I hope you have all followed the demon method of installing the hose connections/clips?

Where did you get those hose clamps from??? I got standard jubilee clips with mine and even though you can tighten them up a fair way if you over do it the strip the thread. Already had one coupling blow with a fecking great bang not long after fitting it. Scared the living daylights out of the two blokes at the side of the road

 

The clips are standard with the Harvey kit.
This is why people by the Harvey kit as he has done all this himself while developing the kit in the first place.

There is an easy method to ensuring the hoses do not come off.
Mine tolerate 1.5 bar flat out like this:
