Default maf question

was driving my 2002 wrx the day at about 60-70 mph and the management light came on so took it to the garage and he said the maf sensor had low voltage or something he then reset the light and the light has not come back on again is this the warning signs that it is packing in or wot else could it have been cheers momo

He means it is struggling to keep the air to fuel ratio in check. This can happen when people tune the cars to an extent where the original hardware is unable to compensate for the extra performance, but should not be happening on a standard car. Go back to the garage and ask him why the voltage is low? What is causing it to be low? Hopefully he should be able to tell you.

sorry should have said the car is not standard running about 370 the sensor is bolted on to a aps cold air induction kit and the light is back on again how mutch is one of these from subaru anyway cheers momo
