Talking which turbo!!!

Help how do i know what turbo i have, its a 93 wrx and i cant see a TD04 or a TD05 stamped on it and is it right the 05 would be the better of the two ?

Should be a TD05. It will have a 90 degree bend coming out of it. The later TD04 has a straight-in 'front entry' to the turbo. If you want to look at the compressor housing properly you'll need to take the heatshield off.

cheers mate think i got you on that so i believe this would be a TD05 then on my old engine and it the same as the one that in her now.

Yes some of the early TD04s were 90 degree entry, I thought of that just after I'd posted. Weren't they used on the very earliest WRXs and WRX wagons for a little longer?
