Maybe silly question - coolant, what and where from?
Might sound daft but I've never actually gone and bought coolant for a car before.
Got a bit of a leak right now and the car needs topping up. Do I just go and ask at my local factors where they keep the engine coolant. Presumeably the coolant will have a guide if its got to mixed with water?
Sorry if this sounds like a silly question

Yep its called coolant and can come either premixed or neat (with a guide!)
I've asked far sillier questions than that!

The correct coolant contains lubricants and corrosion inhibitors plus it increases the boiling point of the water..

I'd suggest you buy a 4 litre bottle of coolant, open the drain plug on the bottom of the rad and feed the coolant in slowly.
