MY05 WRX & 350 bhp
What would i need to achive 350 BHP in MY05 WRX?
I already have full stainless & de cat, VF34 turbo, Filter & re-mapped to 310.
I assume i will need a fuel pump, I have a larger TMIC to go on, would i need injectors & if so what ones?
Would the pink 565cc be ok?
Simon.

Hi Simon
Im currently running at 366HP and 347Lbs of torque on my newage 03 WRX with standard internals.
http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d167/kk3960/366peg.jpg
Andy F who mapped it will also confirm. Martin Ninnybobbs also has a high powered WRX touching 400Hp on Standard internals.
Im sure Martin will confirm his mods, but to give you some idea mine are as follows to acheive this kind of Horse Power.
1) Full Decat
2) Ported & Wrapped headers
3) Andy F TD05 20G Mitsy Turbo (Martin has an 18G with more Power so well worth considering)
4) STI topmount & Silicon hoses
5) Samco Turbo induction Hose
6) APS Cold Air Intake System
7) Walbro Fuel Pump
8) STI Pinks 550CC Injectors with red STI Inlet manifold (Note Injector wrating differs on Fuel Pressure, i was initially confused with the various ratings for Pinks also, 550cc seems to be the talked about rating for these unless im corrected)
9) Andy F Remap to pull it all together!!
Around £3500 spend on engine to date, so you had better have a blank cheque book. Big smiles value though!!
Was told that WRX gearboxes wont handle much more power though, so be aware, although mine is fine with the power as long as its not abused, clutch is also ok also for now!
Happy to answer any further queries you may have.
Kris

Hi Guys,
Sorry to jump in.
I'm kind of sat between both your specs. I haven't had mine on the rollers to see what it's producing though. 02 WRX standard internals, panel filter, tubular unequal headers, full decat, vf34, fuel pump, 550cc injectors, chargecooler, remap by richard bulmer. Another chap on here reckoned around 330-340bhp?

mmmm Sounds reasonable, Richard is a Wizard and ran his white spec C at the last RR day i attended at Pro-sport in Stockport! Hese got my mates JDM STI up to 370+ HP also, hese very good with the torque too!! Get it on the rollers, infact try 2 if you can over a short time span to equate the variances, you may be surprised!!

Whats the diference between 550cc injectors & 565cc?
And would 565cc be ok for 340-350ish
Going in for clutch & lightened flywheel next week hopefully.

the injectors your talking about are the same as what everyone is referring too....there is a very grey area though about their actual capacity....some say 503, 505, 550, 565 etc....all of them should do it....but there isnt that much overhead, but you can always raise fuel pressure

I will let you know the results
regards injectors I swapped my 505's, no doubt I could have added a fpr but I have learned to ask my mapper what he thinks is best as it saves money in the long run ... probably helps when the mapper isn't interested in selling you anything

performance options by wrc-tech.co.uk
wrc technologies have various performance options on their website, might give you a few ideas?
This months Jap Performance also has a 350 from wrc, with a reasonable breakdown of kit.
I have 54 sti running (dyno'd) 350, and that's with top mount ,although fmic is the way forward

Yes rich Its on my wall to the displeasure of my missus!! Ill take a photo of it and post it on over the weekend if you drop me a personal mail!! Meanwhile heres the map 5HP down done on a slightly warmer day without octane booster, so cold air really does aid HP!!

Torque is low as i think tubular headers are needed and the Ported ones are at limit now!! This will be the next mod with the APS FMIC !! More money !!
