can an impreza be towed by another car as long as it has all 4 wheels on the ground ????

 

Ive towed a forester before with all 4 wheels on the ground and didnt have any problems, you can't tow with 2 wheels on the ground though, that's a big no-no.

the front wheels will still turn if the back ones are on the ground i think..Or atleast 1 will because of the differential. Never tried it though!

 

no they don't! the centre diff takes a right hammering and is usually burnt out when this happens, i've seen 2 now delivered like this and with both of them you couldn't touch the gearbox it was red hot!

A four wheel tow is no problem. Using a rigid bar on your front towing eye is the easiest way. Jonny Gav and I brought the Blue STi 3 Wagon back from Liverpool like this with the Silver WRX Wagon.
You can borrow my the towing bar if you need it.

 

I've just towed mine 20 miles with a sprung tow pole/bar behind an Espace with no problems at all, pretty easy really.
