just purchased td05 turbo for my 97 uk impreza ,noticed before fitting that the silver inlet pipe is in a diffrent position the one on the new turbo bends round and faces up and the one on my car td04 just points straight out, will this turbo fit straight on or will i have to get housing modified first and if so does anybody know someone that can do this job or if its simple enough to do myself !! thanks for any info

At the moment the td05 has the 90 degree entry from the older pre97 cars, where as your car has the straight entry. You will need to get the turbo converted to front entry before it will fit, not sure of the cost involved.
