Unhappy Car Won't Start

Hi folks. Just popped out to my 04 WRX. It won't start. I've called out Subaru Assistance, but wondering in the meantime if anyone knows what's up.

Car unlocks with the remote. Lights seem to work fine. Turn the ignition, the engine doesn't try to turn over, there's a clink noise every few seconds which I assume is the solenoid. The lights flicker with each clink. Then there's a couple of beeps.

I'm a bit worried. Especially as it's meant to be getting traded in on Wednesday for a new, but very slow, car. Hey, I'm a Dad now.

G.

Sounds like a dead battery or bad battery connection, esp with the beeps, do the full lights (dipped/main beem lights i mean) still work with the ignition on?

A4 eh? you said you were a new dad not grandad

The lights seem to work yes. I hope it's as simple as a bad battery.

Battery right enough. Seems I've not been driving it enough lately.
