Had my car Tec 3 mapped last week has following mods;
TD05 16g
3'' HKS front and centre pipe 2.5'' back box
De catted up pipe
XS power TMIC
Henko racing pump
Was hoping for low 300hp was that unrealistic ?
Got 280
Any comments?

 

Who did you map it with, did your power grapgh show up anything unusual?

If you did it on a different rolling road then these can differ quite a bit.

What injectors & pressure?

 

Powerstation, there were no obvious problems held 1.25 bar from 2700 to 6500

 

Standard injectors dont know what the presure was?

 

takes a long, long list of mods to genuinely make 300bhp, look at Carl Daveys thread in the project section.
you also cant compare one engine to another, one make take loads of timing and the other might not, also, you say you got 280 and wanted 300, thats 20bhp light not 30 and with turbo engines a small temp change can cause a skew of more than that

does it feel good to drive on the road?

 

As peanuts says, it's not 30hp down, just not making your target power. There are many variable that we all assume are correct to make the power, but that is not always the case.

if its any consolation, I want an extra 20/30 AWHP and its proving quite elusive

 

Been busy havet had time to replie: Dont get me wrong car feel real quick on the road, and i guess if i'd had it mapped on the road woud'nt have been worried about figures. Just you read cars making up to 350 with similar mods!
Mite do compresion check and or leak down.

 

Also worth bearing in mind that Powerstation rolling road is very accurate. Other rolling roads might give more optimistic but less accurate figures.

 

i have a similar issue,ie i have a STi type R with gruppe s headers,TD05FE turbo,helix up-pipe,3" decat,hybrid fmic,550cc injectors,sx fuel pressure reg,walboro fuel pump,apexi power fc ecu and i only make 300 bhp? im not bitter (much) it pulls like a train on the road,dont believe everything a dyno tells you
