WR1 / PPP Exhaust is there a difference??
Does anyone know if there any difference between an exhaust of a WR1 and the exhaust from a PPP dealer fitted pack.
As I am am upgrading my std exhaust, on my MY03 STI type UK and I have been offered a WR1 exhaust and it was the prodrive PPP exhaust I wanted, if there is no difference i'll have WR1 exhaust.

The WR1 and PPP exhausts are the same(ish).
Early PPP exhausts had a different sports cat downpipe with split exit.
The main exit pipe doesn't line up very well with the turbo exhaust vanes.
Late PPP and all WR1 sports cats have a single cast bellmouth with a divider which allegedly allows more power.
The rest of the system is the same for decat and 1st part decat centre section.
Go for the WR1 exhaust.

As Neil says, all you're being ofered is also found on the WRX PPP.
S/hand prices for the box are about £170, the decat is about £90.
Being from a WR1 means nothing so don't pay a premium for it.
If you are offered the d/pipe then get it. It is MOT friendly yet flows as well as any good decat d/pipe. S/hand price should be IRO £225.

Thanks for the advice guys.
Not sure what to do.
Might buy a full miltek system instead but that will be later in the year.
Cheers Warren
