Default Help with MOT

Hi all,

It's not my Scoob having problems with it's MOT, that passed fine .

I have a Megane Coupe as well, which is due to be sold today, that failed it's MOT on the ABS light being on. The guy that was MOTing the car has run a diagnostics test on the ABS and there are no problems, he didnt have enough time to find the actual problem and I cant get it back to him today.

Renault, the thieving bar stewards they are, are demanding £60 for a diagnostics test (which I told them has already been done) before they will help in any way. So, before I pay Renault this £60, has anybody got any ideas as to how I will get this light off? (it still has to work, so cutting the wire is not an option... that was my first idea ).

If anybody can help with this I will be able to polish your scoob for you or something

Thanks

AK

Try pulling out the ABS fuse.. obviously wont fix it but might turn the light out..

Does the light stay on all the time?

It flickers on and off occasionally, I think it started when some thieving scumbag broke into it a year ago.

I can take the fuse out which will turn it off, but it wont pass the MOT with the fuse out

Give the pickups on the hubs a clean with some clutch & brake cleaner.

Yes, the car should have four wheel sensors, they should be mounted in the hubs..
