Default Boost solenoid to airbox pipe

Whilst refitting my airbox on my 95 wrx i managed to snap the small fitting off the small middle airbox which the boost solenoid pipe (i think thats what it is) pushes on to. What effect would this pipe discharging to atmos have? Can i do this and seal up the hole in the airbox or do i need to replace the airbox ???

Are you refering to the approx 20mm re-circ pipe?

Go down your local B&Q and you should be able to find a screw tank fitting that has a threaded insert on one end and a flat pipe outlet, you can use some large washers to fit that to the box giving you a nice new metal inlet.

You can do as you say, as in block off the hole and VTA the pipe. Its commonly done when eliminating the "middle box" with an induction kit.
