Did a good job on mine a while ago!! No complaints at all and saved me a small fortune compared to local dealer quotes!

If you post up on here you will find a lot of people rate him and travel a fair distance for him to do the work.

I used Len after being burned like yourself from a less reliable reference on this site. Len sorted out the other guys poor work, and put in a new clutch / flywheel for me. He does good work at good prices, but best of all, he'll take some time to chat to you about it all too.

History-
On my way to Surrey Scoobies rolling road day 3 weeks ago on my private test track doing 130mph all hell broke loose and no forward motion.
Got recovered home then tailored to Subaru who said gearbox problem and may be able to source a recon one for £2,000 but couldn’t guarantee when.

So on Stevem's recommendation and various other people i thought i would give Len at Subaru4U a try.

So i gives Len a ring he arranges a recovery truck to pick my car up and have a look, within a couple of days he's diagnosed the problem.
And sends me pictures

Its FOOKED

Rebuild not really an option as the damage is pretty extreme, so opt for replacement.
Len sources a box straight away from a breaker £850, does a bit of digging and finds a rebuilt one from subaru £1,000.
Len advices if there are any probs with the subaru one he would return it, from the breaker there would be no comeback.
No brainer we go the subaru route.
Box goes in new clutch fitted as well.
Problem 5th making noise, so subaru box is inspected and 2 nicks in the gears are found so this needs to be replaced.
Cost £80 each who will pay i ask? Len says he will insist Subaru do, Hooray (i like this man).
So Saturday comes i get a call, cars ready can pick it up Sunday.
Arrive at his workshop cars still on the ramp? Its up there so i can check out his work (nice touch methinks)
Len then explains exactly what he's done advices to keep an eye on the pads and disks and a few other bits.
Car off ramp Len then insists on a test drive before i pay him to check i'm happy, half an hour later we get back.
Apologises to Andy and John (my lift to the garage) for keeping you guys waiting however you guys did seem to occupy yourself with the ladies football match that was going on in the field behind

So into the office to pay i mention as the visa gets processed how i always worry will it go through even when you know there's sufficient in there (is it just me that does that).
Len turns round stony faced its bin declined!!!!!!!!!!!!
WTF, only joking HA HA says Len Len the Joker
You bstd i shout at him to which Andy and John steam in to the office looking for trouble:

Drive home was a dream gearbox Shhhhhwwweeeeeeet as a nut.

So all in all an excellent service from Len, he was always there for a chat and kept me updated, his work is exemplary and attention to detail second to none.
I actually drove home confident in the work that had been done.
So thank you Len, and i think the above speaks volumes.
If you need work done, well and properly call this man.

Had my cam belt and tesnioner done there a while back. Great service all round and great price. Really dont trust main dealers anymore.
Got a new STI-Type Uk now and its the only place I will be taking it to get work done. He knows his stuff and is obviously passionate about Subarus.
He comes well rated.

I've not used them, yet. However they have done work on my car, and there has been no problems with it. Appart from spinning a big end... Can't blaim them for that lol.. Very good on price. Len is very knowledgeable and Mark's a top bloke as he sorted my gudgeon pins FOC.

I can promise you'll not find a better standard of customer service anywhere. Len is a true gent and does not overcharge - either on hourly rate or hours.

Put your trust in Len to look after your Scooby and you will not be disappointed
