Question uprated fuel pump

am thinking of fitting a walbro uprated fuel pump, will it benefit the car ?because surely the regulator will only let it pump as much fuel as it is set for ? therefore does it need pump and adjustable regulator ? which means surely it has to be set on a rolling road cheers mark

No as long as you leave the fuel pressure as standard you don't need it set up. It's a safety net, as you start to get higher powers your fuel pressure will always be a constant rather than drop off a little at high loads.

A handy thing to do once you start increasing the power a bit.

As RB5 says, it's really a safe guard against leaning out at the top end.

Is fitting it a D.I.Y. job or does it need to go to a garage ?

diy, shouldnt really take more than a half hour. Just remember to de pressurize the system first, and dont have a smoke whilst doing it. Have some rags to the ready as well for any spilt fuel. Also you are better doing it when your tank is nearly empty as there is less mess that way, and also make sure there is adequate ventillation (unless you like that kind of thing)

Hi

Easy diy..Clean the top of the cover on the tank to ensure that no crap enters the tank when it is removed.
