full decat on my98
Hi all
Since i have had a full decat done on my98 classic i am getting what can only be discribed as a ticking sound when i accelarate.I thought it was the exhaust blowing at first.So i had new gaskets alround and still getting this noise.Has anybody else had the same problem?

After I had a full decat I had all manner of different noises to get used to, sounds like your engine is disintergrating, and your just waiting for a loud bang and a white cloud behind you, and the need for a bucket to pick all the pieces up of the road.
But nothing showing on the Dawes, in fact its rich, and I only use Optimax
Double check your exhaust again as I had an MOT where they fitted a centre cat and then after they refitted my straight thru mid pipe it sounded much better, must of tightened it up more than it was previously.
