downpipe wrapping ?
I've just acquired a prodrive high flow cat downpipe for a bugeye - good old fleabay. Is it worth wrapping this before fitting it, if so can anyone recomend how to do this and where to get the kit from. Also, will I need a remap after fitting to avoid overboosting etc. I will be fitting this plus a scoobysport BB to replace the noise Jap one I have at moment. The system is currently decat centre pipe with standard wrx downpipe and K&N panel filter and has been mapped to this.
Cheers

Cheers, have asked if the jacket is included. Ebay item is 8043653358 - looks ok so hopefully it will be. If not then can I get a replacement or wrap this ?
Is it worth replacing the uppipe with a decat one while I'm changing this ?
Will car pass MOT with decat uppipe ?

Yeh i think if you have the sports cat it will pass with a de-cat up-pipe....
If you have the downpipe getting changed you would prolly be as well getting the up-pipe de-catted.... not likely to be a huge diff as standard but if you do get it re-mapped then it allows the mapper to be more aggressive as the Cat in the up-pipe can break up on high boost and kill the turbo....
You don't NEED to get a re-map AFAIK, to get the full benefit of the mods though it will help, especially if you have already been mapped and it would be cheaper as you have the license for the ECU.....

Thanks for the advice.
Can you recommend a decent priced decat up-pipe or are they all pretty much the same for this section (01 bugeye)
