I have an imported wrxsti,1998 model.
The problem is it won't start,the engine seems to turn over,but there's no load on it (hope that's the right phrase).
It's like the starter motor isn't engaging on the flywheel,but it's smooth and it does fire occasionally but not enough to start the motor.
Please,can anyone shed any light on this annoying problem ?

Compression was there when I turned it off the night I last used it.....it was perfect !

 

Check for fuel and spark

 

Someone nicked your spark plugs?
