Default just bought a wrx advice please

I have just px my car for a classic wrx 99. What are these cars like. Anything i should check or do. It has the usual mods hks dump value and exhaust.

How often does the oil need changing. I have never had a impreza so any advice would be good.

just read on here some are 260bhp and some are 280bhp how can i check.

What fuel should i use. The car has been in the country 2 years.

Thanks a lot.

if its an import then use the highest octane rated fuel you can, ie optimax.
Oil changes depends really on how its driven and how often. Some people change it every 3k others every 6k others probably only once a year. You will be better judged to decide on the frequency though due to your driving habits.

On the 99 cars the maf sensor is a known weak spot can cause engine failure as a worst case scenario, or bad running. Good cars though, and you will make friends with the local petrol stations quite quickly

mafs for that year are around £80 ish from the subaru dealer. Very easy to change 10 min job with 2 tea and biscuit breaks.
There are some people who change it on an annual basis as a service item, even though they are probably okay. If the car drives smoothly and pulls cleanly with no hesitation then it will be fine.
