Default Bolt size

Thinking of replacing various bolts on my car with either lightweight alloy or stainless steel ones, what sizes are common on Subaru's i.e. m8x30

There are standardised head sizes of 12/14/17/19 as I'm sure you have found out!

I buy all my new bolts in variety bags from Namrick.

You can get plated high tensile hex hds and same in stainless '304' grade which is good stuff.
Beware though, stainless can be WEAKER than high tensile steel so becarefull on suspension parts.

I always have a bag or 2 in 'stock'.

You get washers/nuts/nyloc nuts and all in good lengths etc.

first class company, used them since late 70's!

Do a search on ebay "stainless steel bolts" lots of assorted bags, for not a lot of money M6/8 should cover most of it
