Just because deadbolt offer an oil only one, that doesn't mean that UK suppliers sell it.

The lateral performance supplied 20G has the garrett wheel, and this stops the surge which is associated with the mitsibushi wheel.

Why do some of them have garrett compressor housings rather than mitsubishi.

Slow down boys...

1. I am a Deadbolt supplier
2. Not all my turbos come from Deadbolt, I have other suppliers (As does Andy.f)
3. 18g turbos all have mitsubishi compressor wheels, the 18g compressor, IS a mitsi wheel
4. 20g turbos all have mitsubishi compressor wheels, as above, it IS a mitsi etc.
5. The lateral 20g EQUIVALENT from years past has a garrett compressor wheel in (with 20g compressor housing), but this for the most part is superceeded by the 18g.
6. I only sell turbos with oil AND water cooler core.
7. Any turbo with a Garrett compressor wheel, is neither an 18g or a 20g, as they are not Garrett parts.

I have both 18g and 20g turbos in stock, and they both retail for £850+vat.

On a classic sti rev limit which one would you recommend the 18G or 20G?

Paul, i understand that a td05 18g is a mitsubishi tdo5 exhaust wheel combined with a 18g mitsubishi compressor wheel in a mitsubishi compressor housing, the ones in the pictures look like a large garrett compressor housing.

you'll have to forgive me, I don't have "the pictures" but I can assure you all my 18g and 20g turbos come with mitsubishi compressor housings. There are 3 housings that are commonly used in such conversions.

Smaller than what?

If there is an actually query you have regardgin performance or fitment, you would be better off just asking, rather than going round the houses.

My tuner had a look at deadbolts site ,thats why i ask the questions before i commit.
Maybe you could answer this question for me guys, is the td06/20g a off the shelf mitsubishi unit?
Obviously the td05/18g is a hybrid and by it's very nature is built up of different parts,ie a td05 exhaust wheel/housing?? with a 18g compressor wheel and housing??td06?? But to me on the deadbolt site it doesn't look like a td06 housing,so it must be another housing that has been machined to fit the 18g wheel.
So what compressor housing/turbine housing options do i have in say for instance a need a smaller compressor housing for fitment.(the smallest you can machine the 18g wheel into).

Rollers,

The only standard turbo's, are those found either on cars, or trucks.

Nearly all of the turbo's you mention are "custom", made up from various other Mitsubishi turbo's.

The 18G wheel can be fitted into the 16G compressor cover, but the cover needs to be modified, but it works much better in the 18G cover.

It would really help if you told us what you were trying to achieve, that way people will suggest turbo's to you.

I think Rollers is confused by the td05/06 moniker.
certainly from the post just up, trying to compare a td05 18g housing with a td06 20g.

I myself am very happy with the 18g, there are 20gs out there that make better numbers on the rollers but I seem to have a heftier area under the graph

sorry guys i'm just not very clued up on these turbos,i just like to know what i'm buying. 18g performance should spot on for goals i need i'm interested/curious into what parts they are made from.
So what size is the standard td05 exhaust housing,7cm?Is the exhaust wheel the same size in all the td05/06 hybrids?
The the compressor wheel is obvious 16/18/20g and the compressor housing should be the same ie 18g in a 18g mitsubishi compressor housing.

The std TD05 housings are all the same size, then modified to match the chosen turbine. The turbine depends on application.
What are your bhp goals and engine cc's ?

This is a interesting page.
T518Z (td05/06 18g) seems a good bolt-on,shame it's oil cooled only.

Nice pics but I don't see any there that would run as a bolt-on to a Subaru !

Are you needing the EXACT details of our turbos in order to try and source something of the same spec elsewhere in the world ?

http://www.trust-power.com/subaru/im...rbine_kit.html
at the bottom is the bolt-on for the wrx, T518Z (it's a td05/06 with 18g wheel and 8cm exhaust housing) ,only problem is that it's oil cooled only.
Like i said i only questioned it because my tuner said it looked like a huge garrett compressor housing and not a mitsubishi. Then i found that the standard td05 came with a 7cm exhaust housing and the greddy t518z came with a 8cm one,got me wondering what i was getting.
