Default rear vented discs

ive vented discs on the back of my93 wrx and all the other wrxs ive seen have solid
can anyone tell me why

why? because that's what someone at Subaru decided. UK cars and import wagons had solid discs until 97. all the turbo cars have vented now, and in various sizes.

i was after this type of brakes for my car. most of the imports wrx's came with vented disks im sure after 94. but the uk, all had solid. untill 97. dont worry till you have to change the disks.

mines a late 94 plate import and it has rear vented discs too

i was asking because i was just trying to figure out if they had been converted or were they factory fitted
