engine check light came on when stopped at a junction only 4 a few seconds then went off this happend twice. looked in the manual it just says contact dealer. does any 1 have any ideas

oh yeah its a 97 uk model

 

could be 1 of loads of things - it will have recorded a fault code on the ecu - i think you can check these yourself on the classics without needing any extra gadgets by plugging in to connectors undering the sterring wheel colum but i would get confirmation off someone who has one first
