Default Engine cutting out.

I removed my air box and K&N panel filter today from my 93 type ra and replaced it with the one in the picture. A quick road test was carried out up and down the bypass and now the engine cuts out at around 4/5 rpm when driven hard. Its like the ignition has been cut, the car ran fine until i fitted the filter, any idea's what it could be?
Spec is as follows:
Full de-cat from turbo
Scott taylor chip
K&N induction kit
Walbro 255 pump

Andrew

but if you fit the original filter back and it is fine again then you know that it is something to do with the new filter.
